The winter has arrived. We are always excited at the beginning of a new season as it brings change and new challenges that are highlighted by the weather and change in sunlight hours. Our lives are like this as well. The only difference is that summer does not come again after winter. As we enter a new life stage we are excited about the challenges and changes this will bring. As the season starts to become a reality we are not sure we like what we have and long for the past. The best way to cope is to grow and enjoy change and challenges in your new season. There is such an exciting world out there if you allow the changes to become part of your reality. There are many new things to do and lots of places where you can add value to others. This season also gives us more leisure time to enjoy the relationships we have developed and to tackle some new adventures.

This month we have a great conference on understanding how wisdom is transferred and some great stories from organizations involved in using the wisdom and skills of the Baby Boomers to help with change. Please book as soon as possible and pass this on to others that may be interested. The Refirement Café is a great way to connect with other Boomers in a small comfortable environment. We already have a number of bookings and would love to see you at a Mugg and Bean close to you if you are living in Gauteng. There are some great opportunities in the work space listed in this newsletter. Please connect with me if these are of interest. The job market calls…

I had a call this week about 2 positions in Rivonia. If you know of anyone who may be interested in these positions please let me know as soon as possible by email. In both cases they have requested a person in their 50’s or older.

1. PA to CEO and Chairman of an international company. This is a half day position for most of the year with short periods of full day required. The person needs to have shorthand/speed writing skills and the relevant experience that goes with a position of this nature.
2. A creditors clerk in a shipping department. This work requires the dedication and commitment of someone who would enjoy and has the skills that go with this kind of position.

There is also an opportunity for work in the virtual secretary space. If you have access to a PC, internet and a cellphone and are keen to take on short term projects at a distance please let me know.
